The Gerber Confidant Bamboo is a sturdy and practical pocket knife. A special feature is the green G10 handle with a bamboo inlay. It gives the knife a graceful look and is quite special for a knife in this price range. You open the blade with the flipper or the thumb stud, and the linerlock keeps the blade securely in place.

The blade is made from stainless 440A steel. This isn't the hardest type of steel, but it's very corrosion resistant and it's also easy to sharpen. The stonewashed finish gives the knife a tough look, it also makes you less likely to see traces of use. The droppoint blade shape makes for a pocket knife that is easy to use and can handle almost any cutting job. Please note that this knife has a hefty recurve. That means the blade is curved. Blades like these need to be sharpened with a sharpening steel instead of a sharpening stone.
