1. Speed increased by 100% in comparison to i4
The NEW i4 is capable of outputting 1500mA to one of the four charging bays, a 100% increase compares to the i4, effectively halves charging duration.
2. Active Current Distribution (ACD)
The ACD technology allows output to be allocated between different bays actively. Output will be automatically diverted to the next bay when any one of the batteries gets fully charged.
3. Added supports for 3.7V and 4.35V batteries
The NEW i4 supports batteries with nominal voltages of 1.2V, 3.7V and 4.35V, granting comprehensive compatibility with cylindrical batteries. Pressing the “V” button to set terminating voltage for each individual bay.
4. IMR Battery Recovery
Holding down both “C” and “V” buttons will initiate the battery recovery process, this is designed to recover over-discharged IMR batteries, even when voltage is measured at 0V.
5. Automatic Adoption for the Most Appropriate Current
The NEW i4 automatically adopts the optimal current to charge any compatible batteries upon installation. Charging current can be manually set to 1500mA by pressing the “C” button when charging batteries of large capacities such as 18650 or 26650. 10440 and 16340 or the likes will be deemed batteries of small capacities and will be charged at 500mA automatically.
6. Automatic Identification of Non-Rechargeable batteries
The NEW i4 can distinguish non-rechargeable batteries from the rechargeable ones, the four LED indicator will be lit when non-rechargeable batteries are placed in its charging bays, and the charging process will be halted.
